Proper Preparation of Guayusa

The Guayusa leaves are packed with valuable ingredients. So that these go perfectly into the water, it is advisable not to use tea bags, but to use a tea strainer, a tea egg or a teapot.

Option 1: The guayusa leaves should steep for at least 5-15 minutes when you pour boiling water on them. It's best if you don't take out the sieve with the leaves, but leave it in the pot until you've finished drinking. In this way, even after 15 minutes, even more active ingredients are released.

Option 2: Pour cold tap water over the guayusa leaves and place in the fridge or other cool place for 6-12 hours. This cold extract is at least as effective as the first variant.

In general, it's best to use about 1-2 heaping teaspoons of leaves per 12 ounce cup. We recommend: 3 heaped teaspoons per pot with approx. 1L content.

We recommend: Drinking a cup to 1L Guayusa tea in the morning before the first meal. This is how the ingredients can best develop their effect.
