As with ORANGE-MINT and CHAI, you also have a unique flavored guayusa here... extra delicious! The lemongrass has a strong citrus-herbal note and is excellent as a hot brew, cold brew and even as an ice brew. With a dash of real lemon you have a delicious ice tea.
Our LEMONGRASS variety comes from one and the same permaculture in Ecuador. In 2021, especially for this variety, we went in search of lemongrass farmers in Ecuador who also grow Guayusa. This combination is therefore something very special, both in terms of taste and the philosophy of sourcing all the ingredients from one region.
For a transparent insight into our Guayusa tea with lemongrass and our supply chain in general, we recommend our YouTube channel. We have many interviews with farmers and documentaries about the cultivation and processing. In this way we want to give you as a customer more security about the origin and conditions. From our point of view, a simple organic seal can no longer achieve this!
LEMONGRASS is a medium-strong variety with about 50% guayusa. It is therefore on the same energy level as ORANGE-MINT. We deliberately did not have the variety certified organic, as it would have caused the extra costs that we would rather have invested in the local farmers in Ecuador!
Lemongrass Guayusa

All ingredients come directly from Ecuador in close cooperation from our partner cooperative. The combination of Lemongrass and Guayusa to a tea is not only due to the taste, but also because both plants grow right next to each other.
Lemongrass is known for its intense smell and slightly citrus -like taste.
For an extra kick, you can add a shot lemon. In summer, a cold brew will revolutionize your iced tea experience. A shot extra lemon, a bit honey and your energy is ready.
With approx. 50% Guayusa share, Lemongrass is one of our means of strong varieties.
The uniquely fruity-lemon and herbal Guayusa mix with Lemongrass is our refreshed most refreshing variety. The caffeine content is balanced, the effect is pleasant and long -lasting. The mix consists of Pure Guayusa and our lemon grass from Ecuador.

Das sehen wir nicht ein und spenden das Geld lieber direkt an die Gemeinden in Ecuador. Du findest unter unseren Produkten daher Bio-zertifizierte und nicht zertifizierte. Alle Zutaten stammen jedoch aus Permakulturen die ausschließlich organisch bewirtschaftet werden. Die Zusammenarbeit mit den Bauern finden DIREKT, also ohne Zwischenhändler statt. wir zahlen bis zu 3x mehr als auf dem Bio-Fairtrade-Großmarkt vom Endkunden-Unternehmen bezahlt werden müsste - Damit zahlen wir ca. 5-7x mehr als Bio-Fairtrade Großhändler!
Permakulturen sind naturnahe Waldgärten, die sich nahezu nahtlos in die natürliche Vegetation eines Ökosystems eingliedern. Sie stellen das Gegenteil einer Monokultur dar. Mitunter mehrere hundert Nutzpflanzen werden systematisch in einem Bereich gepflanzt, sodass ein "wild aussehender" Wald wächst, der jedoch für seine Bewirtschafter eine klare Struktur hat. Er bietet Nahrung für Menschen und Tiere und stellt ein funktionierendes Ökosystem dar, welches weder externe Dünger noch Pestizide benötigt.
